The Creative Arts Therapy & Wellness Program (CATWP) offers therapeutic interventions that promote healing from ongoing stress, support social and emotional development and enhance physical wellbeing. Therapy modalities include the use of play, art, music, movement/yoga, visualization and touch to assist children and family members in identifying, coping and managing stressful experiences triggered or exacerbated by injury and illness. Benefits of the therapies include reduction of distress, pain relief, decreased need for pharmacological interventions, increased self-awareness and emotional regulation and enhanced self-confidence. Lionhearted Kids

All of our programs focus on children and families from economically disadvantaged communities where trauma is prevalent and are offered in schools, children’s homes, hospitals and community centers. If you are interested in making a financial contribution to help us reach more children, please click here – donate.
